Our Mission

To provide comprehensive solar cleaning and EVSE testing services with the utmost professionalism, care, and courtesy afforded to our Clients. We value long-term service partnerships with our Customers, and we treat all projects as though we are servicing our own properties. A project is not complete until our Customers are 100% satisfied with our services.

Our Process

AmpT Up Energy utilizes professional solar panel cleaning equipment designed to preserve solar panel glazing. Municipal water is treated via a two-stage water de-ionization system to remove both cations and anions, resulting in virtually pure water with a Total Dissolved Solids level typically less than five parts per million.

The treated water is routed to a water-fed brush with non-abrasive bristles designed specifically for safely cleaning solar panels without scratching, scuffing, or any other damaging effects to clean panel surfaces of grime, dirt, oils, animal droppings, and all other debris. No hazardous or toxic chemicals are utilized in, or result from, the cleaning process, and the water is safe to drain into the municipal sewer system.

Environmental & Financial Benefits

Periodic cleaning of solar panels allows solar PV systems to maintain proper levels of renewable energy generation. Solar PV system efficiency is reduced over time as dirt, grime, airborne grease particulates, pollen, bird droppings, and other contaminants stick to solar panel surfaces, resulting in an efficiency impact of up to 25% or more. As renewable energy production decreases, a consistent power demand is increasingly supplied by fossil-derived sources, contributing to many negative environmental impacts.

Water consumption during the cleaning process is minimal. The typical cleaning session utilizes between 0.1 – 0.25 gallons of water per panel. To put this in perspective, a typical 10-minute shower with a low-flow shower head will utilize the same amount of water as is required to clean a 180-panel system.

Financial benefits vary quantitatively and are dependent on several factors: solar PV system size, utility tariff structure, NEM agreements, etc. Qualitatively, as PV system output decreases and fossil-derived energy fills the gap, owners will experience a reduction in financial benefits from the sell-back of excess renewable energy as well as increased charges for non-renewable energy supplied by the utility.
